Jim “Mudcat” Grant

Interviewing Jim “Mudcat” Grant at his home in Los Angeles was a higlight of our trip. Mudcat said he made more money in music than he did in baseball. He used to tour with five backing ladies as Mudcat and His Kittens. Mudcat’s best known song is entitled Life. He called it a poem and noted that Marvin Gaye helped him compose the music.
